I can almost smell it. Can you?
Do you sense that bouquet drifting in on the wind? It's overpowered by the humidity of the corn sweat, sure. But soon that will burn off as the days grow shorter and the heat of the day fades away. It's that subtle aroma of cheap beer, of concession stands with styrofoam-like pretzels and iridescent yellow liquid cheese sauce, of oft-worn and infrequently washed lucky jerseys, of tailgates, of local pubs. It's nearly here.
