Big Ten Basketball, March 1: It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year 🎶
Welcome to March. We Sleep in May.
Yesterday
Nebraska Cornhuskers 82, USC Trojans 67
Penn State Nittany Lions 71, Iowa Hawkeyes 69
MaximumSam: Youch. Iowa finished with Michigan and Nebraska, which could land them a lot closer to the bubble than previously thought.
Northwestern Wildcats 63, Oregon Ducks 62

HoustonBoiler: Looks like this bottom-4 battle turned out to be a pretty good, as in close, game.
Minnesota Golden Gophers 78, UCLA Bruins 73
Wisconsin Badgers 90, Washington Huskies 73
Today
#140 Rutgers Scarlet Knights (11-17, 4-13) at #118 Maryland Terrapins (11-17, 4-13)
Noon, FS1
MaximumSam: Another big day for the Tuesday Shame Game. Also shout out to DtownK for suggesting the Official OTE Award for the worst team: The Used Culvers Cup. Penn State is currently in the lead, but they are just one game from Rutgers and play them to end the season.
#7 Purdue Boilermakers (22-6, 12-5) at #36 Ohio State Buckeyes (17-11, 9-8)
1:30 pm, CBS
MaximumSam: Once more into the breach. The Buckeyes might be more or less healthy for this one.
HoustonBoiler: It's now March and time for teams to step up. While Purdue is safely in the NCAA tournament, they are playing for seeding in both the B1G and NCAA tournaments. Plus, it seems they need to get back in the groove.
We'll see how Purdue responds to a tough home loss to Michigan State last Thursday. The usual parameters apply to this game, Purdue needs to rebound, limit their turnovers, and contain the dribble, particularly Bruce Thornton.
#11 Michigan State Spartans (23-5, 13-4) at #30 Indiana Hoosiers (17-11, 8-9)
3:45 pm, CBS
MaximumSam: The Hoosiers are currently the Last Team In on Bracketology, and after this one they face the Gophers and fellow Bubble Ohio State.
HoustonBoiler: Michigan State just needs to take care of business in Bloomington. Indiana really needs a win and making their 3-point shots would go a long way in this regard.
