Technically this is OSU/UM week, but we did them last week when I didn't bother to check the calendar. Before we move onto UW and UO themed questions, let's see how our comment section did last week.

Answers to Week 5 questions

1 How many people died in the Michigan–Ohio War?
Zero people died. 1 Michigan militia member was wounded. Ohio "won" the war but Michigan got the Upper Peninsula so...
Funniest answer: I think I should be offended by HwaHSQB's and ajcuster's answers seeing as I have family from Toledo. However, everyone else got the answer right. I like a good lawyer joke so... "It’s like the joke about lawyers about the bottom of the ocean. Whatever the number is, it was a good start" (Hewasahighschoolquarterback)

2 What is the longest winning streak in the Game?
Nine for Michigan from 1901-1909. Ohio State won eight in a row from 2012-2019. Two ties earlier on prevented this from being more as OSU didn't win until game #16 of the series.
Funniest answer: Do asterisks count? (waw). The only asterisk in the series came in 2010 and reduced a 7 game winning streak for OSU to 6.

3 UM and OSU have combined for how many Rose Bowl appearances?
Thirty eight. 21 for UM, 17 for OSU.
Funniest answer: 50 appearances, 3 wins (waw)

4 Which two Big Ten programs are tied for the second most Final Four appearances in a row at 3 (well behind B1G newcomer UCLA)?
Michigan State (1999, 2000, 2001) and Ohio State (1960, 61, 62).
Funniest answer: I’ll guess Michigan and Indiana (Juicemachine26). Funny to me anyway.

5 When did the Buckeyes last lose a football game to an in-state program?
1921 against Oberlin by a score of 6-7. Oberlin was one of two teams to score on the Buckeyes that year (Illinois also defeated them 7-0).
Funniest answer: Not recently enough, the cowards (waw)

6 How many more wins does Michigan have in football than OSU?
According to Wikipedia - which has never lied to me - 34. 1012 to 978.
Funniest answer: 1 (wesd2005)

7 During which Bowl game did Woody Hayes punch Clemson defender Charlie Bauman, leading to Hayes being fired?
The 1978 Gator Bowl.
Funniest answer: Orange (Juicemachine26)

8 What year did Michigan leave the Western Conference (what would eventually become the Big Ten)?
In 1908 they formally withdrew. I'll also accept 1907 as they were effectively forced to leave then.
Funniest answer: 1896 (ajcusterIU). Be a bit weird to leave the conference just founded that year

9 Why did Michigan leave the Western Conference?
Michigan was ignoring the conference rules. In order words: Michigan was cheating.
Funniest answer: Scared to compete (Juicemachine26)

10 What was the final score of the 2017 Iowa-Ohio State game? People forget.
55-24
Funniest answer: Everyone remembered the score and for that we are all winners.
