Look. I'd like to have a few good links for the dozens of you every day. A few sports articles, but preferably nothing too mainstream! Maybe one or two culture or esoterica or food links. Throw in a satire article and ideally embed a funny Bluesky post. Boom. It should be an easy formula, one that I can ordinarily bang out between taking the dog out for his final pee and washing dishes before bed.
It's mid July. Y'all, there's fucking NOTHING going on right now. Even the World Cup is on hiatus before tomorrow's 3rd place match (but why does that exist, though?). There's a reason the ESPYs were earlier this week. The competition for American sports eyeballs is basically nonexistent right now.
August is right around the corner. Week Zero beckons. Football is just over the horizon (albeit probably obscured by wildfire smoke). Only 42 days separate us from checks notes why the fuck is UNC playing TCU in Dublin, Ireland?!
