Full work weeks can be a grind. Where We Be, What We Be Drinking (WWBWWBD) is our weekly feature where you learn what we will be doing on gameday, because we are legally bound to not watch college football.
HWAHSQB: I’ll be at Lake of the Woods hopefully catching my limit of walleye early enough to catch some football, but regardless I’ll be pounding some Grain Belt.
MNW: At a Gopher-Akron tailgate, I guess. Family Obligations and all that. I'll have a couple Grain Belt or Mich Golden before heading home to sulk on my couch.
glass: 11pm kickoff? I will in Indianapolis either asleep or watching a movie with my wife (who has to deal with my obsession with west coast stupidity every November through March). Blissfully unaware of whatever absurdity is going on in Los Angeles.
IUinVA: This week’s slate of games is brutal. I may drag my family to a long lunch at our favorite Indian buffet (mango lassi, anyone?), then late afternoon youth fall ball, finalized by watching the national game of the week at home, where an old conference coach returns to play at a heated rival. Of course, I'm talking about Virginia Tech - Maryland.
BoilerUp89: Late game. Sipping on Knob Creek at home in Cincinnati and trying to stay awake. May head down to Oktoberfest Zinzinnati during the day games.
BuffKomodo: Basement bar. Garage beer lime. Cincinnati. Hoping to enjoy cupcake number 3 as much as one can.
MaximumSam: Sun room of Chateau Westerville, honoring Kent State with a Busch Light Apple. Maybe.
WSR: Minnesota. Will the fates allow me to go to the game? God, I wish I knew.
Biff: What WSR said.
Brian: I'll be in Los Angeles this weekend. Enjoying the cooler weather and trying to enjoy a pretty sorry slate of games this weekend.
deadread: I'll be in lovely downtown Lincoln. Drinking coffee.
misdreavus79: Remember that DR trip? It's now. Eating guava and tropical cherries off the trees in my backyard.
Transient Buckeye: Camped in my recliner or in the basement for the early bloodletting. Have a selection of Octoberfests and quads available, but if I'm smart it'll be water through the afternoon.
Thumpasaurus: I will be in southeast Michigan taking shelter from the rain. Andrew left me a cherry Vernor’s.
BRT: In Sioux Falls. Visiting my best friend and her many children, and thus we will be partaking in youth sports. Sadly probably very little drinking.
RMB: TB has the right approach. I'll be camped out in a recliner in my basement, shitposting like mad on the game threads. Beverage will likely be ice water, but maybe I'll get wild drink some tea.
HoustonBoiler: During the day, I will continue my gutter guard installation and later Mrs. HB wants to take me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. For the 11 pm kickoff, I will be at home and either in bed sleeping, on the couch trying to stay awake, or on the couching asleep. At this point, odds are I will not be drinking anything though odds are very high that I will have had some wine and possibly scotch or Irish whisky earlier.
AlmaOtter: I will be getting perhaps my favorite breakfast sandwich of all time (onion bagel, carnitas pulled pork, pickled jalapeños, avocado, manchego cheese, fried egg) with OhioOtter and her dad, then the three of us (plus dog) will be sitting our collective asses down on the couch for as long as we can reasonably imagine. I still have many residual Great Lakes Nosferatus and Harpoon Brewing Flannel Fridays in the beer fridge.
This is a promise: when Saturday is over, there will be fewer of them.
