Through the Looking Glass: Glassjawed's Seed List March 15
One final time into the breach before the brackets are released
A few final thoughts:
Florida as the final 1 seed makes the most sense. All 3 contenders for that spot lost so the Gators ended up back where they started.
I couldn't justify making Purdue a 2 seed. 8 is too many losses.
We could really get an all B10 3 line...
Whoever wins between Arkansas and Vanderbilt gets the last 4 seed.
I uniquely hate NC St's profile, they won't end up in Dayton, but they should.
Texas or Oklahoma as the (shitty) last team in? Take a (shitty) coin flip.
The fight for which auto bids end up on the 15 or 16 seed lines is as convoluted as the bubble. Your guess is as good as mine.
Thanks for indulging me with this, guys!

1 Seeds
Michigan (B1G)+, Duke (ACC)+, Arizona (Big 12)+, Florida (SEC)
BoilerUp89: Regions/Pods as follows - Michigan to Chicago/Buffalo, Duke to DC/Greenville, Arizona to San Jose/San Diego, Florida to Houston/Tampa
2 Seeds
Houston (Big 12), Iowa State (Big 12), UConn (Big East), Michigan State (B1G)
BoilerUp89: Houston to Houston/Oklahoma City, Iowa State to Chicago/St. Louis, UConn to DC/Philadelphia, Michigan State to San Jose/Buffalo. Lucky for Houston they are the top 2 seed and are likely to still get their preferred path.
3 Seeds
Purdue (B1G), Illinois (B1G), Virginia (ACC), Nebraska (B1G)
BoilerUp89: Purdue to DC/St. Louis, Illinois to Houston/Greenville, Virginia to Chicago/Philadelphia, Nebraska to San Jose/Oklahoma City. I realize this matches up Nebraska & MSU in the Sweet 16 but Nebraska as team #5 from the conference doesn't get auto placed in a new region (there aren't that many regions) and with the B1G projected to get more than 10 teams some of them will be placed to match up before the regional finals.
4 Seeds
Alabama (SEC), Gonzaga (WCC)+, St. John's (Big East)+, Arkansas (SEC)+
BoilerUp89: Alabama to DC/Tampa, Gonzaga to San Jose/Portland, St. John's to Houston/Portland, Arkansas to Chicago/San Diego
5 Seeds
Vanderbilt (SEC), Kansas (Big 12), UNC (ACC), Texas Tech (Big 12)
BoilerUp89: Vanderbilt likely avoids Alabama & Arkansas (attempt to avoid conference rematches in the Round of 32), but not necessarily Florida in the Sweet 16. Kansas & Texas Tech probably avoid the San Jose region and Arizona (Big 12 has just 8 teams in according to glassjawed so they theoretically shouldn't meet until the Elite 8). UNC likewise avoids DC region and Duke. Best guess Vanderbilt goes to South region (Houston), UNC goes to West (San Jose), and the committee tries to pair Bill Self with John Calipari in the Midwest region (Chicago).
6 Seeds
BYU (Big 12), Utah State (MWC)+, Wisconsin (B1G), University of Miami (ACC)
BoilerUp89: BYU is a problem due to no Sunday play. In this theoretical bracket either Greenville & Houston or Oklahoma City & San Jose. Houston is the 2 seed in the South so it's Oklahoma City & San Jose for the Cougars. With them out of the way, we deal with the rest of them. Wisconsin gets paired with 3 seed Virginia to avoid Illinois & Purdue. Utah State & Miami can go anywhere for the two remaining pods on this seed line so Miami to Greenville & Utah State to St. Louis to promote shorter travel distances.
7 Seeds
UCLA (B1G), Louisville (ACC), St. Mary's (WCC), Tennessee (SEC)
BoilerUp89: Okay, time to get shorter with these so we get this published. Louisville likely avoids Chicago (8 ACC teams means they shouldn't meet UVA in the regional semifinal). UCLA shouldn't be paired with MSU or Purdue having played both twice already.
8 Seeds
Villanova (Big East), Clemson (ACC), The Ohio State (B1G), Kentucky (SEC)
BoilerUp89: No East regional for Clemson, no Midwest regional for The Ohio State, and no South regional for Kentucky.
9 Seeds
Georgia (SEC), TCU (Big 12), Texas A&M (SEC), St. Louis (A10)
BoilerUp89: Georgia & Texas A&M avoid Kentucky and the South regional. TCU avoids Arizona and the West regional (and also 5 seeds Kansas & Texas Tech in whatever regions they end up). St. Louis get's whatever is leftover.
10 Seeds
Iowa (B1G), Santa Clara (WCC), VCU (A10)+, Miami University (MAC)
BoilerUp89: Don't be shocked if Iowa gets moved up to a 9 seed just to the committee can avoid putting them with one of the many, many, many 2/3 seeds from the B1G. Santa Clara won't be placed opposite of St. Mary's.
11 Seeds
UCF (Big 12). Missouri (SEC)^, NC State (ACC)^, SMU (ACC)^, Oklahoma (SEC)^, South Florida (American)+
BoilerUp89: Welcome to Dayton! If you see any of these teams higher up (or teams from the next four out, start to worry for your favorite bubble team).
12 Seeds
McNeese (Southland)+, Akron (MAC)+, High Point (Big South)+, Cal Baptist (WAC)+,
13 Seeds
Northern Iowa (MVC)+, North Dakota State (Summit)+, Hofstra (CAA)+, Hawaii (Big West)+
14 Seeds
Kennesaw State (CUSA)+, Troy (Sun Belt)+, Wright State (Horizon)+, Penn (Ivy)+
15 Seeds
Idaho (Big Sky)+, Tennessee State (OVC)+, LIU (NEC)+, Siena (MAAC)+
16 Seeds
UMBC (America East)+, Furman (SoCon)+, Queens (ASUN)+^, Howard (MEAC)+^, Lehigh (Patriot)+^, Prairie View A&M (SWAC)+^
BoilerUp89: Matching up Duke with Lehigh would potentially be hilarious, but the committee doesn't have the balls to do it. Perhaps they will give them UMBC instead.
