SBNation is launching a new format and publishing platform. It is going poorly.

YO DAWG I HEARD YOU LIKE WHITE SPACE

SBNation's new site rollout is going...poorly.

Sorry to be a backseat driver.

But...you're fucking kidding about this, right?

In case you're wondering, the former home of this humble blog is currently mostly whitespace, with a comment section that requires and locks you into whatever email you put on file – for some a year, others five, others ten ago. There is something called "The Feed", where it looks like your Fearless Leader – the drunk one, not the SBNation one – is just posting random GIFs because, allegedly, that's all the site's new and improved WordPress blog will allow him to do.

Yes, allegedly – ALLEGEDLY – SBNation's rollout is still not going well, with site managers given hastily provided login instructions from an email sent via iPhone, writers needing to request individual permissions just to write an article, and a layout function that is still not remotely accessible or intuitive.

Navigate over there and try to click on one of those "Feed" articles. Now try to comment on something!

Imagine having a fully-working, custom-built publishing platform and a comment system that, while shittier than it was before SBNation transitioned to Coral (don't worry, they "hear you" and you'll have those old comments back any day now), still at least worked on FanPosts – excuse me, "The Feed".

Now imagine throwing that away to work with WordPress.

Meanwhile, stay tuned here for actual Big Ten commentary, updates, and game threads once the season starts.

RIP OTE, 2007-2025. Man, fuck SBNation.
