It goes quickly, doesn't it? And we seem to sprint towards it more quickly every season.
Every week in the fall, we rely on this damn sport to count the time and mark the stations, from Sunday punching in to Saturday B1G After Dark. We're all too old and jaded to admit it, but that youthful anticipation for noon kickoff still lingers. And here we are, halfway through. All 18 of our beloved conference's schools have played at least 6 games; some overachiever tryhards have already played 7. We're now in the land of bye weeks and desperate assistant coach firings.
In something resembling a normal year, this is the point where we'd have a good feeling on which teams were good, which were ass, and which ones were in that middling mob of mediocrity. This year's a bit of a weird one. Maybe everyone sucks? My team does! Odds are, yours does too.
