Nope, it's not necessary. We will do intermittent email updates about the site and we do mean to bring back a weekly newsletter, but it's not a requirement.

Nope! We don't do paywalls here. Everything here is free to read. And the site login is separate from the commenting system.

How do I make a smartass comment on an article?

Another great question! You can make comments as a guest, but you'll have to enter your name each time.

If you want to have a commenting account, scroll down to the comments section at the bottom of any article and hit the little "Login" link on the upper right side of the "Write Your Comment" bubble. You can set up your account with the Hyvor commenting system. If you make an account, you can have a profile picture, email notifications, and will seem less like a total rando.

Can I do spoiler text, or sarcasm text, or other fun things?
